In addition to the apparent change (where email notification of PMs now appear as coming from forumname@s2ki instead of simply S2KI FORUMS), I have just received an unusual email.

It appeared in my inbox at 12.45GMT 2nd March 2005 and both the From and To fields showed blanks. There was no message title or body. Message properties showed the Return-Path as noreply@s2ki.com. Any idea why this (suspicious) message may have been sent?

With regard to the change in the style of notification, I suspect a number of people who use message rules to filter their mail will find this troublesome, as they will no longer be able to simply allow S2KI FORUMS as the recipient.

 

They can just change the rule to From contains "@ S2KI". The forums use the same bit of code to send all it's email, registartion activation, subscription notifications, new pm notifications and emails you send by clicking the email button on a persons post.

I was dinking with it a bit so maybe you caught it in mid-dink? If this is a problem as of right now please let me know.
