Default "Find all posts by this member" functionality

When I try to find all posts by a member, many times, it misses many of the recent posts. For example, I know person X posted something yesterday, but the search shows that the most recent post by person X was a month ago. Is this a known issue? Thanks.

Click on a user handle... you'll then see that link under the user handle on the upper left of the next page. It doesn't work correctly.

Yea, an auto-complete web-service feature like what Facebook and other web 2.0 sites use would be sweet. You start typing someone's name and the list filters down the more you type.
