Default Form data not saved when hitting back buttom

OK... Up until a few days ago, when I would post a reply.... then try and post another reply quickly, the sites flood control would kick in and tell me to wait.

I would hit the backspace key or the back button at the bottom of the page to return to the previous screen.

The info I had typed in, would still be in the reply box, so I just needed to wait till the 15 second (now 30 second) flood control was happy, and I could hit post again.

Now, when I try that, the info I had entered is gone when I hit the backspace key or back button.

Happening in Firefox, IE and Chrome.

Also happening on my work laptop in all three browsers, so I figure its gotta be some setting here.

Have asked a few people to try it, and they do not lose their data, like I am.

Happening only on this site, and it was working OK for a few days after the site upgrade.

Any suggestions?

I don't think it is a setting as such, just the way the reply boxes are now managed by the software. Does this happen in both "Fast Reply" and the full reply boxes (if you click Add Reply)?

Yes.... in both....

Happens using the Go Back button and if I use the Backspace key...

I figure its something that I did..... worked before the upgrade, and for a bit after the upgrade.....

Just can't figure out what I did.

With it happening with both of my PCs..... I think its something I did here.

What makes this even worse... is with the 30 second flood control..... makes it a double whammy! It happens quite often to me now!

when you say the go back button, do you mean the one on the site or the one in the menu bar of firefox?

OK...... this is one crazy way to not lose the post data...

If I get the flood control screen, if I hit ctrl R, then resend when that box comes up, it resends the data... might have to do it a couple of times so I get past the 30 second mark.

But I don't lose my post.... might just be easier to copy the data and post it again!

Also noticed that I can hit the Reload Current Page button in Firefox ... and then hit resend.... and it works.

But why do I have to do that? Didn't have to do that in the past! ;(
