I've noticed theres more and more guests selling in the For Sales now... is this now open to everyone? That would suck as part of the reason why I am a member is to use the for sales..

I've noticed this too, especially in the Cars For Sale section. Even when these threads are reported nothing happens.

Example. I reported this thread days ago.

Nope, guests cannot sell in the "Main" FS forum. There might be a glitch allowing them to post new threads in the redirect forums - UK, Australia, Cali, but that will be seen to (the local FS sections sometimes had different rules)

I'd need to check the policy for the Cars for Sale forum, I don't remember it off hand.

If posts are reported using the report button, they should be seen to.

Please can you point to some specific examples if there are some been missed?

Thanks

I gave you a specific example above.

And I repeat, it was reported.

I will ask the FS moderators what was done with your report. The policy for the For Sale -> Cars For Sale forum is somewhat unclear. The reason is I don't think that it makes sense for someone by a membership in an S2000 club when they are actually trying to sell their car. It just seems counter intuitive. On the other hand, if you aren't selling an S2000 then it would be reasonable IMO that the normal rules apply.

What do you think?

freq - sorry i missed your example in my haste to check things. beanolo gave me one in PM too.

There is one other instance that can happen:

Member posts FS thread --> Membership lapses.

I removed the thread beanolo pointed me to - I didn't find any others on a quick scan through the main FS forum.

As I expected cthree confirms the Cars FS policy is different.

cthree, agreed. As long as the vehicle they are selling is an S2000 then let it ride IMO. supraboi can peddle his hoopde elsewhere.

I got a membership to sell a USGP ticket. Nobody even responded to the post. I should get a refund of my membership.

Whatever you guys decide is alright by me, BUT I say you've gotta have a membership to sell stuff no matter what. Just my opinion.

Good marketing skills are not included as part of the membership package
