The search engine is very complicated. It doesnt make sense that it shows up 4-5 years old threads first , also, why the heck its showing you every posted replies ?? Can't it just simply show you ONE thread ?

There should be a moderator cleaning up threads in classified too as im trying desperately trying to find rims bronze but i can find sold threards or 4 years old ones ....

Another thing that doesnt make sense is if you write one word in search, it'll tell you your dumb and says coulnt find anything.




S2ki is a very good forum for s2000 people but it requires better management, especially classified sections. People paid for the subscriptions and deserve their item sold. The process to this is a BETTER categorical sections and SEARCH ENGINE.

I e never been a fan of the search either. It's definitely one othe worst I've encountered.

 

It's also weird that I can't get any results that were posted after September?

 

I'm having the same problem - I can't see posts any later than September 27, 2010.

 

Why can't the Beta search be put in place instead of the current one? The current ones results are so poor that it is almost pointless to try and use.
Beta works better, still not great but definitely superior to the current search.

 

i am getting same problem. Beta is worst because you cant filter / arrange the dates. Theres no point showing "oldest" posts first .............

 

Yeah I hate the search on this forum on top of that I hate when looking for parts that there is no subcategory. Such as engine/tranny, exterior/interior, and so on. Another thing that bothers me is that I cant auto subscribe every time I post, unless I dont know how to do it but so far I hate manually subscribing to every topic I post in.

 

Ya search is beyond crap, it really needs a system like VBulliten's search engine. Great site, just sometimes its worthless when I can't even search marketplace for stuff besides 5 year old threads.

 

Is there any way to allow three letter words in the search?
