Hey C3:)
Is there anyway to identify who is and isn't an owner of an S2K? Seems to me like the pond is getting kinda thick with many wannabe's...no offense intended. It is not uncommon for posters to have 500 posts and not be an owner. Is this the direction the community wants to go in? Have no problems with visitors......but it would be nice to know, as an owner, who I'm dealing with (i.e. owner/wanna be-future owner/troll).
Trolls can be a scarry thing
But I do agree in a certain sense. I like the post count, because it lends a certain experience to a users post, but with any random person racking up hundreds of posts I wonder where they are comng from sometimes.
Cuz you all know, with my extensive experience, and large post count, you can take anything I say as gospel

Isn't there a check digit on the VIN#? Could you use that as a verification of ownership, or is it too widely known? Even if so, it would discourage the punks to a certain degree.
Then again, if someone really wants to pretend, they just have to visit their local S2000 dealership and copy down the VIN#.

I have to agree with all of you! Although I am a brand new owner of my s2k, I wouldn't want advice on my car from someone that doesn't even own one. As soon as I can get 25 posts, I am going to post a picture of me with my car!!
