Go to "edit options" in the "start button". Scroll to the bottom of the page to "avatar", then "Change avatar". Follow the prompts.
ps. Your avatar pic MUST be no bigger than 100 X 100 pixels and less than 5K size.

You need 25 posts.. then you go to the start button, and edit options, scroll to the bottom and upload your avatar or use the default ones. The avatar must be 100x100 or 5000bytes.

Thank you both for the near instantaneous replies, a quick favor to ask, I bought my '00 with around 5000 miles on it and extensive mods, a coilover kit, 17x8's and 17x9 integra SSR's, a 600 watt Boston acoustics stereo and speakers, but the dealer had no info on these mods so I have been trying to piece together the car's history, I am almost to 40K miles and love the car, but I do have the 1st to 2nd gear snick problem, along with a couple of minor other issues, do you (or anyone) know of anyplace I might find info on the car, other than the dealer's database?

Ask the dealer service guy if he would contact the previous owner and have him contact you. I don't think they will just give you that other guy's phone number - privacy and all.
That's what happened with a car I had sold. They asked me to contact the new owner because he wanted to know about the alarm system.
Hopefully, they will cooperate.
It's good to talk to the previous owner to see if certain maintenance has been done. At 40K miles, you should be changing most of the fluids on the car if it hasn't been done already - brake, clutch, tranny, rear diff and if it's a '00, the engine coolant too.

Thanks Xviper, good advice all the way around, I have been doing all the owners manual maint under the "harsh conditions" schedule, and have already done all the fluids/lubricants.. do you know anyone who has had the 1st/ 2nd synchro fix done.. how long it took and any problems they encountered, I have followed a couple of threads on this, but am still just running around this site like the proverbial headless chicken(newbie)
thanks, Mike

I personally only know of one owner (in Calgary) who just had his 1st and 2nd gear set changed a couple of weeks ago. He had the 1-2 gear grind (minor) and a bit of "sticking" and notchiness. You can contact "Former...." if you like to get his impressions. His was an odd case in that it is an '02 and really did not fall under the TSB so his took a considerable amount of time (weeks) to sort out. The dealership did finally cover it. He is still not convinced it was worth the hassle.
If you "officially" qualify for the work and they have all the parts, it should take about two days.

I have now qualified to personalize my Avatar. However, I can not figure out what file format or resolution that others are using. When I save the image as 100 X 75 as a JPEG it is a 15K file. If I reduce the resolution to 72 DPI (standard web res) the file is under 5K but the size appears to be microscopic in my Image Expert or Photoshop viewer. I have not actually tried to upload this image as it seems pointless. Locally, it appears on my screen at about 1/6 the size of the Avatars that other's have. Any suggestions? Does the site somehow enlarge them for viewing? I would appreciate any help that I can get.

Thanks.
