Yes you need to either:

1. host them somewhere, then use [img] tags to link to them

2. Sign up for membership (when the membership system is working - it isnt yet) and you get a photo album here as part of membership, which you can then post from.

If I host them on yahoo photos, will it upload? When I tried, it shows up as: "user posted image" on my post, but no pic shows.

Most free photo hosting services don't allow you to link to the photos you host from other sites. For that you usually need to signup for their pay service. Posting photos on sites like this or on eBay can result in that image being viewed thousands or even millions of times (which costs money).

You you signup as a member of s2ki.com you can host your photos on our servers. If you signup as a Gold Member you can link to those photos from other sites. Your memberships help a lot when it comes to supporting the site. There is a link at the bottom of the page for more information about the membership offerings.

I'm working on a significant feature upgrade to our photo hosting members should really like. I wish I was done but it will take a bit more time, maybe another week.
