How do we add or delete icons in our AV?

How do we add or delete icons in our AV?
some members have a small Icon under their Board Name in the AV that when scrolled over read> PM this Member , Add as Friend & or View Gallery
I wondered where we insert or delete these?

add friend - that enables someone to add you as a friend - after doing so - then they see only "remove friend" I don't think you can make that go away
pm this member - can't make that go away
View Gallery - that only shows up under people who are actively using their gallery (such as you) - again it's there to stay.
naturally amdin will correct me if I am wrong about those...
