Good effort on the upgrade, appreciate it. But how do we access the webmail? Not to be unappreciative at all, but it would have been great if the mail server was left operational during the upgrade so that it could be accessed through mail2web or something. Or if it needed to come down, an email to all members informing of the downtime would have saved some grief. Some people like myself don't visit s2ki forums on a frequent basis so I would not have known of the coming upgrade. Thanks and good effort!

 

Not sure how long until webmail comes back, but you can still access your email account via POP or IMAP.

 

Odd, I can't seem to get to my email account xxxxx@s2ki.com Maybe I'm having a brainfart, because I can seem to get POP/IMAP to work using my other email accounts (yahell, gmail, etc). Anyone?

 

I'm using IMAP with SSL on port 993 to mail.s2ki.com. No other magic configuration.

Hard to say, it all depends on how quickly we knock down the more pressing performance and other issues.

Webmail should be back later today. Erik did a surgical replacement of the web server software last night which resulted in huge performance gains on the site but it was way too late for him to replace all the redirects by the time the work was done. He's aware of it and I'll make sure it's a priority to get that back

POP and IMAP are up btw, it's just the web based front end that's down so email isn't lost and is being received normally.
