How/why did my status as an owner change?
When the mods see that someone has sold their car they post about it in a thread in the Moderator forum. HondaGal will occationally go through this thread and adjust status.
If it's a mistake then please let us know.

I wasn't attempting to cause any issues, I was merely curious as some might recall that I fought the idea of inputing VIN's for a long time because I was worried about it being used for something else and was therefore somewhat surprised when mine mysteriously disappeared without any request, knowledge or contact from me.
For the record, I have thus far owned and sold two S2000's. I do not own one now. I sold my last S (a MY2002 Spa Yellow) to another board member who hasn't yet updated his profile to include that VIN.
Thanks again for the clarrification.

Well actually he probably did and failed. Seeing as you and others kicked up a fuss there is no record of which VIN is actually yours (except at the DMV, Honda, every service garage or body shop you've ever been to, your insurance company and with anyone who bothered to look through your windscreen) so he was probably told it was invalid because it's already on file.

Unless I mistook your email (which is easy to do given the fact that its the internet), I've apparently inadvertently touched a nerve. That wasn't my intention. But I read your email as adversarial and antagonistic when that wasn't at all the reaction I had hoped for or expected. If I've done something to offend you with my earlier apology and thanks, then I guess I'll apolgoize again.
And no, I talk to the owner a lot and he hasn't entered the VIN because he shares some of the same concerns that I eventually got over.
Actually I was just kidding, it's an administrative nuisance but not a big deal. What email are you referring to? Your concerns may be valid (or maybe were when you had a warranty) but are thus untested. Neither I nor any of the s2ki executive would ever give out, sell or use for marketing purposes any of the information you enter. If you post your phone number or email address that's your issue I guess but I'd never give it to anyone.
