You could talk to your Regional Community and offer to help by becoming a Community Organiser in the first place, or talk to HondaGal about becoming a moderator of a specific forum?

Well, I am not speaking for HG here, but it isn't really "all it takes" of course she'll want the person to be fit to be a moderator, and have the right qualities etc. And of course there would have to be the need for additional moderators on the site or a specific forum, which I don't know if there is the need at the moment.

and try to give what i can back...
How about getting a membership? there's one contribution you could make for a start, and you get all the member benefits too

http://www.silverspray-guild.com

we're a multi-game Guild that has been around for a little more than 3 years now. we've covered a lot of games from HalfLife Team Fortress Classic and Counter Strike, to more recent games like Return to Castle Wolfenstein, WarCraft 3, and Enemy Territory. we generally splinter off 'Clans' that compete in various tournaments and/or ladders. i've been a leader (and admin) there for over 2.5 years now.

i run by my gaming alias DarkGod. if you'd like, i can email you or something under that alias to verify for you, that i am me...
