Hey everyone, I posted this in the off topic, and after some research I found out that I will not be able to fix this problem myself, and the operator of the website will.

Here is my original post from OT:

"Hey everyone, yesterday here on my computer at work, I tried to view a thread and I get a "Done, but with errors" message at the bottom of the screen and it wont load the page. It is still doing this today with all threads, and its only on this computer. I can see all the fourm topics, and go into certain things (like off-topic) and it works fine, but then when I click any thread, it does the same thing. Does anyone have any clue how to fix this? This computer has Internet Explorer 8, and I searched and tried a few different things with no success. Also since I cannot view threads, I wont be able to look at this until I go on my lunch break on my personal computer. If you could PM me with any advice, it would be much appreciated."

If anyone else can help, or if someone can look into this, it would be greatly appreciated. This only happens on my work computer also, and i'm about to go back so I won't be able to see any responses. I can still look at my PM's, so if a mod or anyone tries to do anything, please PM me and let me know.

Still a no go. I have tried almost everything I could find, and I just keep seeing and hearing people say that it's something on the actual website preventing me from viewing it, not the computer. So I have no idea.

I have exactly the same problem with IE8 and my research also points to a website side issue. However, my problem only started after the IT dept rebuilt my laptop software so I suspect something changed in that process.

I am using my own m/c with Chrome right now in order to view messages and post this reply.

 

Do you get a notice about a script error on the page?

 

Nevermind, stupid question.

but not in this thread. What I saw was the page loads then freezes for while then IE says the script is taking a lot time and asks if you want to stop it.

Can you confirm? I'm working on the fix, just want to make sure I'm fixing the problem.

Well the page starts loading, and I can see the advertisement banner, my PM's, and everything like that. I can also go into every section, but no matter what thread I try to go to, it loads the banner and everything above it, then just stops and doesnt load anything esle. Then in the bottom left hand corner of the screen it has that yellow shield and says done, but with errors. It doesnt come up with any pop ups or anything like that. I can even make threads, then I cant see them.

 

Hmm, go to MyS2K and under General Options > Board Settings choose

Do you wish to disable social network features? YES

Give that a spin and let me know if it helps.

 

Alright I just changed it. I'm going to work here in like 30min, so if it works i'll post here. If not i'll reply on my lunch break and let you know if anything happened.
