Default Logging in to this site - confused!

Today I had to enter my username and password in order to post. This is the first time I've needed to do this. Previously, I was able to post without having to enter this (on my home PC only). Why is this? I thought the site downloaded cookies which allowed it to recognise me as an owner/guest without needing to log in, provided I used the same PC. Has something changed or am I just being thick???

Hmmmm.....

I'm not too sure of the reason for this. Aquila may be along soon to give a more defintive reponse.

I know that I don't get recognised if I log in from too many different machines. I log on at work. Then I log on at an internet cafe, then from my phone. When I come back to log on at home I have to enter my username again.

And welcome!

Same with me. Only ever use my home PC, sometimes I have to log in, sometimes I don't, as Readster says, Why?
