Default Mac display probs

Despite trying all available screen resolutions I cannot get the new pages to display correctly. The problem is so bad that the board is almost unusable. I'm using MS I.E. 5 on an iMac running OS 8.6

I'll send you a screen capture to illustrate this mess.

I have downloaded IE 5 and will have a look on OS9. IE 5.1 (please upgrade if you can) on OSX is almost 100% the same as the Windoze IE 6 display. I'll see what I can do but if you are running IE 5.0 on the Mac please upgrade to 5.1 if you can.

The "upgrade" to 5.1 works. The display is very similar to the PC version now. While the S2Ki site looks good my browser now has the OSX "Aqua" look, pretty strange considering my iMac Classic will never run OSX.

Thanks for the quick fix, now I'll relearn my browser commands.

So far as I know I've resolved the IE Mac 5.0 issues. The issue was related to CSS incompatabilities in 5.0. If you find anything else that's an issue, let me know.

I don't know if this is the same issue or related or not, but in IE 5.1 on OSX I'm having problems with topics that contain wide pictures.

The whole page is as wide as the wide picture, but the picture is only as wide as my browser window (i.e., scrolling horizontally only reveals white space), and I get both vertical and horizontal scroll bars on the wide image. It's a real pain to see the whole image, 'cause the scroll bars aren't working quite right. Let me know if you want to see a screenshot.

Thanks,

Ted

p.s. I'm really liking most of the changes to the site; you guys are doing a fantastic job!

I'm using an iMac with OS9.0.4. I can't get any embedded pictures to show with Netscape Navigator, but I am fine with Internet Explorer. It is tough being a Mac owner, since Macs are limited production computers. In my case I own both a limited production computer and a limited production automobile - it ain't easy.

Rylan,

did that screenshot come through? Does my description of the problem make sense?

Thanks,

Ted
