Default MALWARE detected?

I got the below message when viewing this thread https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/768.../page__st__275

www.s2ki.com contains content from www.dp6061.com, a site known to distribute malware. Your computer might catch a virus if you visit this site.
Google has found malicious software may be installed onto your computer if you proceed. If you've visited this site in the past or you trust this site, it's possible that it has just recently been compromised by a hacker. You should not proceed, and perhaps try again tomorrow or go somewhere else.

After I got pop-up's twice on the home page I went ahead and installed Ad Block.

If we want users to read the stuff on the home page and use that to drive traffic into the forums, then perhaps it is best that the home page be kept clean. Just a suggestion is all.

Hi everyone,

We don't allow pop ups on any of our sites, on any of the pages. If you see pop ups, they are being snuck in by advertisers, and they have no right being there.

Please hover over them, and copy the click through, or destination URL and send them to me please. I will ensure that our ad team finds and blocks such ads. Thank you for your help.

In regards to the malware, it actually is often from images that people have posted on the site, perhaps hosting a funny gif at one time, but then the site got hacked, and the link was replaced with something else. This happens quite a bit to be honest.

cheers,
robb

Because adblock is blocking them. Adblock can block anything, not just ads It's not always from images like Robb says, but it can be
