Was when I signed up for paypal. For some reason they don't get you to confirm the email address, leading to this unfortunate event. I just hope that the confirmation email address doesn't really exist!

I think paypal DO get you to confirm the email address. Even so - you can go into your paypal account and change your email address, just sign in with the incorrect one you input
