[maybe this is a known problem, or something only specific to me, however]

Occasionally I'll see people ask where a thread went, having seen it one hour, and then it mysteriously disappearing the next.

Was looking for a thread on Spoon rims in the For Sale area which I know was there earlier today. I didn't see it looking through page 1 and page 2 of the for sale forum, so I searched for it based on the author and found it. Looking again at page 1 and page 2 it didn't appear.

The last post date was Oct 31 ~6am. Looking at the times of the last entry for page 1, and the first entry for page 2, it appears the "missing" page is between those two ranges. Is there a for loop that's executing one too few times?

 

Sometimes threads get removed if they breach the site rules, with reference to ones in the FS area, only Owners can offer things for sale, so if it was not an Owner, then it probably got removed.

 

Had I not found it by doing a basic search, I wouldn't have wasted the time of posting _this_ thread.
