Hello,

I find it very amusing how some questions are moved immediately from Car Talk to other forums and how some questions stay in Car Talk. Case in point, I asked a question about Red "H" emblems on Car Talk and it was moved to Off-Topic within minutes. It took about 5 hrs to get one reply on the question because the traffic is much less on Off-Topic than Car Talk. Today I see another question about Red

Like one of my bosses used to tell me,"I might not always be right, but I'm always boss." Same deal with the moderators.

Each moderator has different opinions about where things go, what is decent, etc. I have tried to maintain a neutral status unless it is VERY obvious that the thread needs to be moved or is inappropriate. All I can say is I am sorry it happened. With all the traffic here, it is hard even for the moderators to see EVERY thread.

Precisely. Sometimes the rules are muddled about what posts should be allowed and which should not. Sometimes an Admin isn't available to check with if we aren't sure. The golden truth is, no matter WHAT we do, SOMEone won't like it.

There is a ton of traffic here, nobody will catch everything, and the Moderator job is a volunteer thing that we do just to help out when we're online and have time (thus why there's more than one of us!!). If you feel your input could be used more... contact cthree and ask about Moderatorship!

Hey, WEA and all you other punks out there, don't piss me off or I'll move ALL your threads to the Portuguese and Spanish Owners forum!

Tread lightly, I'm a closet Fascist!

No, it's just a hard thing to be able to "police" ... lots of traffic, lots of divergent wants and needs. I am only a simple little moderator of one little forum called S2KDays Asheville '01 ... say, that reminds me, have you heard about S2KDays? It's the first North American event! The forum is located at http://www.s2000online.com/forums/forumdis....php?forumid=23 ...

We are happy to now announce that the event has gone international! Go there later tonight and find out why!!

Are we done ranting yet? I'm getting ready to move it to the Site Info forum. The point of having several forums on the site is for load balancing and good organization. So it would be very nice to have things go where they suppose to be. So be a good member and follow the rule. As Siper2 pointed out, all the moderators are volunteers so we don't live here, sometimes some of us will catch it and some of us don't. It's like cheating on tax, you might get audited or you might not. . Actually, I think we are getting much better at posting in the right forums. Happy?

Hi Wea

I've noticed the same thing. I suppose the better rule for moderators would be, "when in doubt, leave it alone." If moderators have closet fascist tendencies, perhaps you should beat your pets, and leave the posts alone. Commendations to the moderate moderators, like Saliv8 and Siper. Thanks for your relaxed trigger fingers.
