I am wondering if moderators are deleting status updates or something. I put my status about my wheels I am trying to get rid of. Saw someone commented and then checked again and the status update was deleted completely along with the comment.
Just wondering what the deal is. If they are moderating it, maybe say something instead of just deleting??

 

Why wouldn't you just use a FS thread? My impression of "Status Update" was that it was a general chat box.

 

Well I did that. But Figured I'd put it as my status as well. If the status updates are going to be moderated might as well remove the whole feature imo. Since guests can even use the status updates see no reason it should be an issue to post items you are selling as your status.

 

Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that you were selling something. You are a member and a sponsor so obviously that is fine but it may give the impression to guests that offering something for sale in the status update area is fine -- which it is definitely not. Still, they should have notified you.

 

There are specific areas of the site for sales, both member and sponsor specific. This isn't new and the rules haven't changed just because there's a new place to post on the site.

In case that wasn't clear enough, the same rules still apply for selling stuff. Anything that is posted contrary to those rules will be removed at moderator's discretion and no further notice is to be expected.
