Horrible. Just horrible. What was the reason for this "upgrade"? Hate to say this, but I probably won't be renewing my paid membership.

 

It seems like things are slowly getting turned on and activated.

I am a CO for the Ohio forums. I don't have any moderating tools when on there. Is that up and running yet?

Also, some people have different styles to choose from (bottom left of screen), yet I don't. Is that some test program?

 

Shame - Garage Talk will not run on Android 7: "Server error. IOException Chain validation failed" As I see lots of the app feedback has already reported

 

I do not have an upload button in my gallery/albums, as you commented on pg 9 of this thread. Please help! I thought it might be activated sometime today, but it's still not there. Does anyone have an upload button?

 

Good news, everyone! Avatars are now displaying at a max width of 150 pixels. We've also brought back the individual group badges so you can easily tell who's a member, moderator, etc.

Regarding our apps, we've updated all our sites to the new Garage Talk app (available here for iOS and here for Android) and no longer support IB AutoGroup. If you're using IB AutoGroup, please download Garage Talk and S2KI should work as normal on there. As of right now, Garage Talk unfortunately does not support Android N (7) due to some new requirements from Google, but we're working to implement those changes so we can fully support the latest Android devices.

Sorry you've been running into these issues! It stemmed from a setting to only receive PMs from members on your Contact list or the site staff, which appears to have accidentally been set as the default for some users, We have since turned it back off, so you should now receive PMs as normal. If not, please let me know.

Some of your questions are addressed by what I said above, but let me help with a few of your specific ones:

Your notifications are now set to "No email notifications." If you want to turn on emails for any specific one, please go to your User CP's List Subscriptions page, check the boxes to the right of the specific threads you'd like email alerts for, and then select one of the three email options from the drop-down menu at the bottom-right of the page. Likewise, you can modify the number of posts you see per thread page in your User CP's Edit Options section.

Our current settings allow you to stay logged in for up to an hour of inactivity. If this is not the case, please try clearing your cookies and cache.

As part of the profile badge update I mentioned at the top of this post, your membership status should now be displaying properly. Excluding status updates, all the membership perks (from an ability to use our marketplace to a larger PM box) have remained in tact. We're just properly displaying it on your profile now. Your Spotter title is also back!

Please try clearing your browser's cookies and cache. If that doesn't resolve the issue, let me know.

Your tools should now be accessible again. The different styles were activated by accident and have since been turned off (sorry to be the bearer of bad news on that one!).

My repair thread has a face next to it for some reason, and it remains even after I've edited it to the green arrow.

 

Another fix is now in place! Signatures will only display once per user per page as requested.

I believe this issue stems from how the thread is edited. If you click the "Edit" button at the bottom of the first post, it will only edit the content of the post and keep the thread-level title and icon the same. However, if you see an option to edit the thread in the "Thread Tools" drop-down, you can use that to change the title and icon at a thread level. It's admittedly an odd vB quirk, so I went ahead and just made the adjustment for you.

 

How can I delete a thread?

When I edit the thread title, the new title I enter becomes the second line on the title while the old title still remains. Will this be corrected?

 

For those of you having trouble adding photos to existing albums, you should now be able to do so again. The "upload picture" link is visible on the left side of your existing album's page, both above and below the box displaying your photos. If you're a Member, you can have up to 1,000 photos in total. Gold Members can have up to 5,000.

We don't offer a way to delete entire threads as that means other users' posts would also be removed potentially against their will. You can, however, delete any individual post (that's not the first post of a thread) by clicking "Edit" and then selecting "Delete" from the bottom row of buttons on the post editor. For thread title editing, that's accessible only to moderators at this time. Feel free to ask one of them (or me) if you need a title adjusted.
