No. Only public forums are indexed presently. The search index has no concept of permissions or security. Searching non-public forums requires searching a separate index containing just the posts in that forum. I haven't figured out an elegant way to do this.

yeah this is getting to be very annoying. I would expect with paying members that the site would be able to make the search button to work.... hey we all have dreams

Opps. A little bit of a regression there. It's working again.

I get this whenever I try to sort my search results by date:

There is a problem sorting by date right now. It will be fixed in a future update.

Erik,

Another thing that has regressed in search:

I was in UTH. I searched rotors. I get back the first page. If I click any of links in the left hand panel I get back NO MATCHES. Date, user, topic, doesn't matter.

I'd guess it happens regardless of where I search. If you're just looking to fix the date section, you may need to expand that scope.

Yeah, it's a little messed up, sorry.

I've been buried deep in the compete rewrite of the software I've been trying to get done for the better part of 4 years and haven't spent a lot of time tweaking the existing code. I'm going to try and fix it over the weekend.
