I was wondering what everyone likes and dislikes about the site change. I don't have any connection to S2000 International, I'm just curiouus what everyone thinks. So, what's the good, the bad, and the ugly?

Speed is very slow for me compare to the old site. I'll be honest and hopefully not get punish - I love the frontpage it's great, but I really dislike how the navigation on the left take away my space on the forums. Generally if something is going to take away space horizontally I think it be something that is often used. I personally don't use much of the nav on the left side. Anyone else?

Some how I feel like I'm trap when I'm inside the forums. Maybe it's just my insecurity

I agree... this site is SLOOWWW. The colors look really drab as well. And yes, the left side has to go.

I'm personally a fan of limiting use of color... But on a site like this, it's harder for me to spot the new articles that I haven't yet read because they are grayed out and my eye keeps wanting to skip over them.

Also, the left nav has gotta go.

I think the top ad space has been worked into the top very nicely, but the second banner spot (I'm looking at an ipt dashkits banner right now) look tacked-on. I understand the use of banners to fund a site like this, but you can't overdue it.

This site's page build is not working well. The width doesn't adjust to my computer screen. This seems to be a forum initiated problem.
NOT everyone runs 26+" monitors.

Every forum page needs a pull down "Goto" selector at the bottom. Otherwise navigation is a pain.

I can't quickly tell which forum I am on. It seems no longer as clear as before..

LOSE the entire left column, put it in the top header, or better yet the trash.

It seems the programming department had too little to do, supporting the addage: If it ain't broke, fix it till it is.

This forum is now a bit of a pain, and the change may lose viewership.

I actually get some time-outs when posting messages and pressing the reply button. This morning I ended up posting the same message three times because I didn't know that it was already in teh database...

Oh well, that's one way to keep your PPD up.

I'm just curious who's doing all the behind the scene work? I wouldn't mind helping out. I've been doing web development for the last 5yrs. I'm a coder so I'm handicap with graphics.

The overall forums color is very easy on the eyes, it's just the link color is some what difficult to make out.

Ok... enough... I think we're whining too much

Very, very slow compared to the last version. Despite the fact that I'm on a T1, this is now almost painful to use. Also, like the others, I prefer the navigation on the last version. Why was it changed???
