I have a suggestion. I am wondering if it's possible to not be able to delete or remove the original post in the for sale forum. Editing would be alright but only adding new text, not removing or replacing after a set time.

Possible?

 

what if the member decides he doesn't want to sell it anymore?

 

still has the opportunity to close his thread or can edit the thread title and remove the item he is selling ... or it can show in the edit. Also, can post a new reply so most people are aware. If someone still shows interest even after he said it's no longer for sale, people usually correct the guy responding ...

I just don't like people removing their initial post after something is sold. At least if they're selling wheels or of the like and disappear, at least many people know what the car looks like or similar.

I see more upsides than downsides.

 

SHouldn't be able to delete your post if it is the first in the thread anyway.
