Default Opinions on new site layout?

What is your opinion on the new site layout?

Personally, I don't like it as much as the old layout.. It makes everything cluttered and harder to use and find what you are looking for.

I also don't like the bar on the left. When you scroll down past it, its wasting a lot of space that could be used. I'd liek to see it put back along the top, maybe under the blue buttons.

Please use this as constructive cristism. I am not being to be offensive in any way.

IMHO so far so good. I like change and I don't mind this one.

I'm having problems with type running over the top of each other and buttons/links not appearing.

I think it is extremely bad not to list the regional forums on the main page, or is this just another one of my formatting problems?

I think it is sad we have lost our total number of posts, that is good info, the number of posts per day does not tell me what I want to know, I want to know if someone has been here for a while or if they are new, now I can't tell.

My S2000 page is completely whacked and my photos are gone.

Reaction: Not good. I'm okay with the layout, that is just a design change, but the things mentioned above have nothing to do with how things look esthetically.

You can tell if someone is fairly new by seeing how long they have been a member and their PPD. I can tell you've had quite a few posts.

Well, it's a mixed bag -- I like the new "look", it loads faster, for one thing. But the left frame is a waste of space, and the lack of scroll bars on the bottom is a definite problem. OTOH, moving the club badges to the bottom of your sig is a definite plus. As for finding things -- so far I haven't had any problems at all.

i don't like the new format. maybe its my formatting prob, but i hav a bunch of useless stuff on the left and cant read anything on the right unless i scroll over. it does seem to load faster. despite its encouragement to post whores, i do like having the total post# listed though.

This site is looking more like the "other" car sites, that's to bad. The heavy use of shades of gray give it a dull look. The S2000 is a unique car and so should its community web site. I thought we had that in Generation 2. The site should be fast and agile ........ like the car.

The column on the left, info is fixed at top of page. It should float with veiwing window, otherwise it is wasted space. If I have to adjust my resolution with every web site visited, I stop visiting that web site !

I to miss the post count, gear #, and the signed-on light bulb indicator.

I do miss the HOME page from Generation 1 ( fall of 2000 ). As a "newbie" back then it seemed more intuitive, all that information about the S2000 was at your finger tips. It was a big help!

I hope that all the people who put time in on this site don't become discouraged, we do appreciate all hte work that you do.
