The search feature is worthless.
Almost every search I do times out or throws an error.
whenever using the search, make sure to put a "+" in front of each word (no space)...like this:

+pet +peeves +for +noob

personally im new to this site and everytime i search it comes back errors..but i try to read around . and learn b4 i ask.

i agree with you on the young kids w/ s2k's tho.. i had to buy my own car when i was 16... and now im 19' and having to buy my own car.. i started my own business tho so.. ive been doing well.

the only thing that bothers me about this site. is that theirs not enough seperation of forums..

i.e FS forum should be split up in susp/wheels/brakes/engine/etc so that buying/selling would be easier and peoples threads wont have to be bumped

their should be a suspension forum, other products and parts, etc

i just go to post something and theirs to much guessing in my eyes or a place not exact enuff.. im a member of like over 300 forum based websites and this one seems like some things arent precise enough which leads to hard to find.. and then in other places(local forums) theirs like 500 diff ones.

riley

just constructive criticism.. no offense to the makers of the site.. just easier to find/post=more reading what you want=more activity=faster growth=u can charge more for sponsorships=everyone is happy

This message board is the best, no doubt. But these are a couple things that bug me. Am I alone on this?

1. The "DO A SEARCH!!!" response to a posting. If you take the time to open & read a posting why not just anwser it. Why tell the poster to do a search? Sure, the topic has been posted before, maybe many times but things change, opinions change. Be cool dude.

2. Why do some S2000 owners take such offense to talk of possible future upcoming changes to the S2000? Why??

3. I hate the "Hi, I'm 17 years old & my parents are going to buy me a new S2000" post. You're 17!!! Get a job & buy a 71 Ford LTD for your first car!

4. "What should I buy? A S2000 or a Boxster S?? or What's faster? A S2000 or a Mustang GT.

See Ya
I agree with you as far as being annoyed by #3 and #4.

Regarding #1 and #2, I wonder why you feel the need to post complaints about these on the first day that you've registered on this forum? Perhaps if you stay here and observe for a while, you will understand why people react they way they do to these posts. Your perspective is not the same as those who have seen these threads repeated year after year.

you are one clueless, simple- minded, inexperienced, and very JEALOUS, individual.

btw, all your "pet peeves" are already talked about before numerous times.
DO A SEARCH, NOOOOB.
Wow, you got all that from reading one post?

You're in the wrong industry. You're so smart!

On the 17 year old issue, I can only imagine it's jealousy. I never had a chance to drive a car like the S2000 when I was that young, but if others do, more power to them.
If you seriously believe this to be jealousy, you need to shrink your ego a bit and reexamine your personal situation from an objective point of view. There are a few reasons why I have a problem with this, and none of them have anything to do with jealousy. I am quite comfortable with my personal situation and have no reason to be jealous of any child.

I pity young people who don't earn what they have because they will never know a true feeling of pride in their accomplishments, what they are actually capable of accomplishing, or how to do anything for themselves.

I look down on parents who are too short sighted to see the ill effects of spoiling their children. The sole duty of a parent is to raise its young to be self sufficient in adulthood. They have been failing in this en mass for the past decade and one must only open his eyes to the state of society to see the sad result.

I am disgusted knowing that those spoiled children will soon enter society and I will have to deal with their lack of responsibility, respect, and character.

I'm not quite sure how much shrinking my ego needs here. I'm 30 years old, and certainly was not gifted an S2000.

My comment is aimed at those who immediately deny anyone of a young age of any information or advice based seemingly on age alone. I've seen plenty of young owners ridiculed for not much other than being young.
