Default photobucket.com & wunderground.com

I'm not sure if I am barking up the wrong tree here, but I would appreciate any help/insight about the following matter (could be ISP related)?

For some unexplicable reason I simply cannot load any image which originates from *.photobucket.com and *.wunderground.com which both seem to re-direct to a site called www6.overture.com.

It seems that some members have pictures linked from this site, but I just get the dreaded red X-es.

My system is pretty clear of any problems (I maintain it very well), so it's probably not without any good reason I don't get to see these pics.

Thanks for your help,

Siepel

And secondly, your time/clock is off.

We're at daylight saving time now, so time should be +1 hour. I posted the above message at 01:39AM...

I'm going to bed now!

You can change your DST in MyS2K - the s2ki clock is right - it is your setting that is wrong

It might be that the photobucket and wunderground dont allow 3rd party linking, so the images don't show - or it might be a load thing - they will only allow so much bandwith to be used. The answe of course is to tell the people posting them to use the membership benefit of the s2ki photo album for their hosting.

Unable to view.

Are there any other users out there that can't see the image?

@AE: Thanks for the tip

Yeah it might be a setting about 3rd party images from other sites rather than the originating one.

Probably a setting in your options.

I'm not really a newbie here

If I ping www.photobucket.com it resolves the IP address instantly, but times out when waiting for reply.

It could be some kind of firewall setting, but it does not make sense why only these addresses are filtered out (I tried running w/o my firewall with same result i.e. no pictures).

I'll try on another PC connection when I have a chance. In the mean time I'm interested if other people in EU can access photobucket.com

This is the strange part: If I type in "www.photobucket.com" in my browser(s) after long waiting time my ISP's search page pops-up with all this information about photobucket.com...

I'm wondering if this is ISP related??

Anyway thanks for your help.

[edited ISP's search page information]

These sites must be hosting very unreliable or something, because right now I can see the pictures and access their sites with no problems. Didn't change a thing on my end.

Anyway thanks for all your help
