Hi guys

I'm having difficulties with uploading some photos as I keep getting the red box with "Failed to create image" blah blah blah.

It is a JPEG and only about 49k so what's the criteria and / or commonly faced problems with picture up loads or have I reached my piccie capacity etc etc.

AE, Mark, Ade or Paul anyone know what the bits are?

 

Kelk, it's unlikely to be your image and I have uploaded some very big JPGs so it's not a file size problem.

There have been problems with the gallery for ages now so it's almost certainly that which is causing you grief.

The image is probably uploaded ok, but won't display until the traffic calms down on the site (i.e when the US guys are asleep, tomorrow morning our time).

 

I'm presuming your image is standard RGB. The web won't support CMYK jpgs very well. A bit technical, but it depends where they've come from.

They are still having problems with the Photo Gallery, but they are not going to sort them out until they upgrade the site to v4.

They will appear in 30 minutes or so, I had this at the weekend
