On the old board someone started a thread where people could post pictures of themselves.

It would be nice to have that on this board now.

Question is, where would you put it and what is the best was to do it?

Hey Tom that was me! I started that thread. It was really nice seeing everyone. However, after the thread got to about 3 pages and over 170 posts, it was a pain to navigate. If only we could create a PhotoPoint type of a system where we could get automatic thumbnails and more detailed (read bigger) pictures for high bandwidth people.

Hey, can we set up a shared PhotoPoint account? That would be cool! In fact, I'm gonna head over there now.

I have arranged with a member of the board to act as curator of the gallery. He will be looking after it. I have been swamped at work so haven't had the time to fully set it up yet. Look for some serious artistic fun coming in about a month.

 

Sorry for the delay. I think cthree may have a better idea of a curator. I was thinking of setting up a PhotoPoint account and just having a shared password so that anyone can add to it. The problem is, anyone can delete or modify/hack it as well. It's one of those things that needs attention from someone.

Also it sounds like cthree is working on this with a solution that sounds a bit more elegant than my initial idea. So, unless I hear different, I'll see what cthree comes up with.

 

Well, I loved that thread, Song. I think it makes good sense to us at www.s2ki.com to have something of this sort. I'll be in touch about it...
