Default Problems with this site

I use only a handful of forums to post on and this place is my most commonly used one. I am however frustrated with this site.

Before the upgrade was done we had a lot of downtime and I guess that the database just couldn't cope with the number of posters. Since then we have new software and new db and yet this site runs slow. This is not about 1-2 seconds but I really mean slow. The search function in advanced mode doesn't work and I think it is this feature which is the most important. So what is going on and do you all agree?

Oh one more, most of the time when I hit reply it doesn't work and some times I have to click twice and sometimes three times. However sometimes this means you have to go back a page and come back again because the button is unavilable once you click on the send button.

I prefered it how it was. I have posts on my page that I have closed 2 months ago but they still appear. The search function is not very good either

Can't say I've noticed much of a problem with the new site. Sometimes response times aren't great, but most of the time that isn't an issue.

Aside from that I haven't had any other problems with it

I find that it is a bit temperamental still.

Also the list of "my posts" seems too shoert.

Any the font is so fcuking small, I ca't see what I'm typing!

with all apart from the font thing. I guess it'll be the screen size Nick.
However IIRC the font is now not "resizable" in the browser.

And yes... Verrrryyyyyy sllllooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

Mind you.
It's not surprising when you consider the shear size of this place and the number of active users.

I am on a 2mb too but still slow. This thread to display took 4.6 seconds! Maybe it is just a few of us but I know I browse the web a lot and most sites pop up double quick. Try typing yahoo.co.uk or bbc.co.uk or even pistonheads, now they are wuick. Oh well, will have to live with it.

Is anyone having probs with PMs?

Either the notification is too small, or they're coming in very late!

Fletch, yeas, I'm on 1400 x 1068. At least it stops me wasting so much time on thE website!
