Questions
I'm no PC wiz/software tech'y/ etc. So maybe it's just me, but I find there's an a lot of good stuff on this web site but for me it's difficult to quickly pick-up on or locate - sometimes.
For example: I fully support the idea of tracking VIN #'s; even suggested it in a post, but I never made the connection with Enth/Owner Status until today when I happened to check out the thread explaining it -- almost by accident. Have you ever considered using a broad message system for club/site info? Using a format that everyone would have a chance to read before moving on (i.e., they must click they read it)? The broad message would cover the who, what, where, why and attempt to explain in detail why the message is of importance. Could be used for new stuff or changes in how things work. Perhaps, a Q&A thread tied to it as questions arise?
I thought adding an avatar (spelling?) would be cool. But, it took me a whole evening to figure out how to do it and where to do it from. I waited forever for the site's suggested icons to form (I have very, very slow line speed) and I knew by that time that I wanted to use an icon from another source. I kept waiting and waiting for the page to finish loading so I could do a custom one, only to find out it wasn't activated from the avatar choices page anyway. There was a text line saying I could do a custom but didn't give me access to do it. I thought when it finished loading it would.
I see improvements all the time and I do apprecaite them.
The auto car club site that I thought was the absolute easiest for a limited user like myself was the NSX site when I was considering buying a used NSX. Their click on the box organized matter was very easy for a PC dummy.
Lastly, I organize some S2000 information that maybe is worthy of sharing with others - both specs and service info - but it's not clear to me who do I run it by for approval for content and placement? Greg Stevens? C-Three? Is the Forum and the Club the same, or separate but equal parts?
Thanks,
Dave

I agree. The site is not intuative to use and there are a lot of "hidden" features. Some online help would be great because somethings are a bit confusing. I'd love to say I'll get right on it but that would be a lie. I can say that I know the problem exists and hope I get the time, opportunity and energy to fix it someday.
I made a call for webmasters who could work on things like this to move it along a bit faster but the majority of responses were from people with busy schedules but who would help in an emergency. What we need are 5-6 people who could tackle these underdeveloped areas and help make the site more rounded. It's partly our fault for not being organized enough to know what to do with people who are interested combined with a lack of interest.
I think that once we figure out how to manage a group of volunteers things will be far more productive.

dlq04.. a response to your last question..
The information you have, which you wish to share is excellent. If it is information that requires static threads, maybe we can post it in the faq section? have you looked in the faq section to see what you can add. All information that we do not have should be posted on our site for the members.
We have featured members pages monthly, we love member submitted articles about ???, videos, images etc.
You aremore than welcome to email them to me and I will tackle what I can and forward on to the techy guys.
