Default Questions about THIS site

For some reason, every couple of weeks, my password for the site changes. It takes a short while just to know what my new one is. It's not annoying or anything. The question is: Is this normal? And if so, is it for safety purposes (maybe someone trying to hack into my user name)?

It's not normal. Please indicate which Browser and version you use and the platform PC or Mac or Other.
