i've noticed that in my user panel one or two threads become subscriptions without me subscribing to them. they are threads i have responded to in the past.

in addition sometimes a forum i have subscribed to, disappears from the user panel too.

any idea what going on?

 

They aren't subscriptions, just threads you have participated in that have new posts since then

 

the ones i've "contributed" to are up top on the user panels separated by "your topic subcriptions" below which is where these random subscribed threads pop up.

I have no idea. I haven't changed anything related to or connected with topic and forum subscriptions. They are an entry in a database table. Either the entries are being removed some some reason or they aren't being seen to be there.

A quick query of the database shows 14 forum subscriptions for your account.

 

Forum subscriptions do fall off after a month of inactivity- not sure if this is your problem but you can change it in the bottom right of the list of subscribed topics window to "20 days" "from the beginning" etc

 

i just noticed another clue. i have a notebook and desktop that i log on from.
despite adding a "dropped" forum subscription while logged on from notebook, it doesn't show up on the desktop when i get home. hmm.
