I had this problem a while back and found out the upload is a little tempermental depending on file name.

Make sure you have no strange numbers or characters in the file name. I has a pic with an * and a _ in it and it just WOULD NOT uplaod. I changed the file name and all was hunky dorry!

Wow, I stand corrected.
I changed the files names to PopTartA.jpg and PopTartB.jpg and I was able to upload them into my library.

I think the problem was that we ran out of disk space. I don't think it was the file names. I cleared up some room so maybe that's why it works now and didn't before.
