Ok, how's reporting a post to a moderator to work?

I just tried clicking on both the link in the thread that I thought would do it and also the IP item to the right of it; when the first attempt didn't work, I tried both again. Each time I got some error message.

Mods have access to the IP address, if you click report to a mod it emails and PM's them to draw their attention to it, they will then take a view and action as appropriate

 

thanks. seems like the person reporting it should get some instant feedback that it was reported instead of what appears to be an error message.

It worked for me - you should get a screen with a box where you explain why you are reporting it, then you get a screen saying it has been reported

 

I just tested it on your last post and it worked. That is not at all what I got when I tried it twice on one I wanted to report; instead, I did get an error message each time - not sure why - but thanks for following up. As a fellow moderator, I should know how things work but I think I've gotten one report sent to me in the past couple years. It's a nice bunch that I moderate (upper midwest).
