Is it possible to set up (or if there is one already) a filter to only show certain forums?

For example, MOST regional groups hold little to interest anyone outside that region.

I typically use 'today's active' to scroll through the newer posts and get tired of 'anyone driving a spa s2k southbound on interstate 22?'

Yes!

When you are in a forum you want, click Add to MyS2000 on the page with the thread listing. Repeat for all forums you want. Then look in MyS2000 and there they are, just the ones you subscribed to

 

Now the opposite question: If I don't "add" a forum, do I NOT see new posts when I click on "view new posts"? I like to see what's happening in other local forums too.

ps. Just tried to "add" a forum. Didn't work. Tells me that this page cannot be displayed.

 

When you click today's active it has nothing to do with what you've subscribed too. It will display active threads from all forums. You can either view that as a feature or a bug.
