Hmmm...requesting the option of quick replys, i.e. the little box at the bottom that you post from without hitting post reply....Yes I am that lazy

Okay, it's in. You should notice a "Fast Reply" button at the bottom of each thread. Click that and it'll uncover a fast reply box.

FYI there is a MyS2K setting (in Board Settings) that will make the fast reply boxes open by default
