Default Respecting the Privacy Policy

It seems I recently upset another member (who shall remain anonymous) with my thread rating.

Instead of this remaining a trivial issue one of the board administrators or moderators then gave the thread owner confidential information (i.e. the ratings results and a list of board member's names who had voted on the thread). The owner then passed these on to me requesting an explanation as to my vote.

This surely indicates a breach of the site Privacy Policy.

Can board members expect to be tracked down and confronted whenever they inadvertently upset someone?

What steps are the administrators of the site going to take to ensure in future that the Privacy Policy is adhered to?

Why should the person who breached the Privacy Policy continue in a moderators or administrator's position if they can't abide by a legally binding policy as laid out by Petersen Ventures LLC ?

Please refer to the following policy subsections - 'The Way We Use Information' and 'Our Commitment To Data Security'.

I am not sure exactly what this all means... I was not aware one could see which members vote or not vote or rate a thread.

The Administrators and members of Petersen Ventures are: Cthree, Krazik, and HondaGal. I assure you the three of us do not have the time to do this kind of stuff. Cthree has many times said, security is always a priority. So, can you provide any more information. PM option works too, if you don't want to air anything more to the public.

Thread ratings are not private information. Thread rating has been turned off in the Group Buys forums for repeated abuses and I will be shortly implementing the same change site wide.

Thread ratings have proven to be nothing but a pain in the ass IMHO.

So I can at any time request the screenames of the voters and the rating that each person gives my threads even if they've voted anonymously? I didn't know that. I'm collating a list to send you and then I will email those people once I get it and ask them why they voted the way they did.

Good to see it killed IMO.

Thanks
