Since i first came to this forum from Preludeonline i've really noticed how slow the forum speeds are. Is there any specific reason?

but s2ki is still up and running, thanks for the comparison tho.

i would be somewhat interested in the structure that funds these things. Preludeonline may have alot more traffic and there fore a better newer server someplace.

there has got to be a significant personal effort in doing these things too

s2ki is 6 times the size of preludeonline

Currently active users:
Prelude: 61 (39 members and 22 guests)
s2ki: 385 guests, 353 members 7 anonymous members

That is over 10 times more users.

Loading front page of forums with no cache, just now by me:
s2ki: 3.82s
prelude: 3.76s

not much in it for 6x the size/10x users.

CF is at least 10times bigger than S2ki, and is at least as fast if not much faster. I am not a member over there though, but have been for nearly 3 years on S2ki.

Just for some perspective.
