Default S2Ki Credit Card

I do not work for a bank but thought this idea might be of interest to the group. Many banks (CapitalOne, MBNA, First USA, etc) offer affinity credit card programs (a card for a club, alumni association, etc.). Essentially, the bank gives a kick-back to the club based on the collective card holders' outstanding balances. Maybe these rebates could be used by group members on various buys, or by S2Ki to defer costs for sponsored events, web site costs, etc.?

What do you think?

I happen to work for Capital One (don't flame me, I don't send the junk mail!)

I don't think the population of the S2Ki crowd will be enough to interest the affinity folks, but I can certainly make the suggestion!

Maybe we could use one of Loki's images on the card!

Part of the affinity marketing method, however, is the organization giving to the bank a membership list with addresses and phone numbers for direct mail and telemarketing. We don't exactly have that...

Plus, while I'm sure we could do an S2ki.com or S2KCA card, I have to wonder what Honda would think about somebody putting their material ("Honda," "S2000", the H logo) on a credit card without their consent.

Oh please..........no more credit cards. I used to apply for credit cards just because of the logo or pictures on the credit cards. I remember getting that "BLUE" card from American Express. What a waste......stupid card not accepted everywhere like visa/mc.

I'm interested as well ... I hope they do make exceptions for international credit cards, heh! Though I know not many CC foundations permit that. I love how US has so many different good looking cards but can never get my hands on any due to international boundary restrictions it seems.

What? Where have you gone that Blue wasn't accepted? I use it all the time, never have a problem with it. If a place doesn't accept Blue it doesn't accept AMEX period. That has been a problem for a long time since AMEX charges higher rates but most places have come to the realization that it's a loss of business. Blue is absolutely one of the best cards available right now. 60 day price protection and guaranteed returns means I can purchase electronic items without worries. I think you have mistaken Blue for the chip cards that they were trying to push awhile back that are widely accepted in Europe.

Not interested. I have enough credit, and I have NO interest whatsoever of my personal information and address being put on another freakin' promotional mailing list. I'm sure S2kI wouldn't sell/give away that info without permission, but why tempt fate?
