My membership just expired and I was curious.....I am going to renew my membership (actually, I will probably upgrade to a gold) but I won't have the money to do this for about a week.
My question is this....
If I lose my status before I have renewed, my sig will obviously be removed. When I renew, will my sig be restored to the way it was, or would I have to rebuild it?

I'm not sure what the timing is on the sig evaporating but here's a tip to save it: Go into your profile and drill down to where the sig is set, click in that text area and press ctrl-A then ctrl-C, then open a copy of notepad or any other text editor and press ctrl-V which should paste that glorious sig text right in there. Save it somewhere really safe and then simply cut and paste that text back into the sig section of your profile if it should disappear.

It really became more a curiosity thing to me as to whether it would be restored

Yes. Sigs aren't deleted, just not shown.

 

yup, as a matter of fact when your membership expires your sig will still be visible in your profile.

Just after your grace period your sig will stop showing in your posts.
