Default S2Ki Response Times?

I've noticed a significant increase in the response times when doing searches, loading pages, posting replies, submitting PMs etc...

Anyway to up the performance a bit? Do you guys know what's causing the increased latency?

I've noticed this too. Sometimes when I click on a thread, it'll take 30 sec. to a minute before anything happens. Also, occasionally, I can't seem to stay logged in.

Yes, the site has been wicked slow. Basically our server is running at 200% capacity. Since the upgrade to v3 we've seen a 1/3 increase in new posts and sessions.

To resolve this we're going to be adding a new server to help split the workload. I hope to have it installed tomorrow if all goes well. We need to arrange addition space at the colo, build a system, install software and reconfigure. It's a lot to do on short notice but we'll try our best to get it done ASAP.

Please bear with us. We were not expecting such a huge jump in utilization.

FYI I have been keeping an eye on the DB all day and have optimized a number of sections of code that were less than ideal. It should have sped things up some.

It did drop our load averages from 10-30 to 2-10.

We still will have a seperate DB server up very shortly to split the load and speed things up dramatically.
