Default Secure connection to s2ki

Hi,

Up until about a month ago I always used to be able to get to s2ki using an https connection, which was great for getting past the work profanity filters . However recently I can no longer get a secure https connection to s2ki which unfortunately means that around 50% of topics I can no longer get to from work.

I was just wondering whether this was a "feature" that had been deliberately removed, and whether there were any plans to re-instate it.

Many thanks,

Ed.

Well...

The https server was never really meant to be a general purpose access method. It's there mainly to cope with a couple of places where credit card info is exchanged. These bits are inactive right now so when I last updated the server which does SSL I skipped setting it up.

I do plan to reconfigure it and get it up again in the pretty near future so yes you will have access to it again shortly. I'm not sure exactly when but if I had to guess maybe next week although it could be 2 or 3 weeks before I have it going again in support of the new v5 site update.

Great! I'll be able to get my full s2ki fix at work again!

Thanks, Ed.

Erik

What are the odds of getting a WAP friendly version. You know and Text only URL. The tables seam to be the biggest problem. Reading a PM is a real PIA.

Next release has a "lite" mode. I don't know if WAP is in the cards but a 240x or 320x PDA version is possible.
