Yes, excluding "official" community badges. These aren't technically part of your signature. Unofficial badges that you paste into your sig will need to fit in the 600x90 box or they just won't be visible.

Note: The signature you see in posts will be clipped but the one that shows in your profile display won't be. That means you can make your signature as large as you can get away with and it will show in your profile but what will appear in your posts will only be the top 90 pixels. Put the things you want to show in your posts at the top of your sig and everything else below that.

All you need to do is tighten up your signature layout so it all fits. Toss out what you don't think is important to say in every single one of your posts or at least move it down. 90 pixels is the same size as the banner at the top of the page. Surely you can deliver a meaningful message in that space. If can fit all of the site's navigation controls, logo and an image in there you can put a signature in it.

If you can't get it all to fit within 90 pixels as normal BBCode then open Photoshop or Windows Paint and make a GIF image 600x90 pixels. Add whatever you want to ad in there, add it to your photo gallery and link to it as your signature. The creative possibilities are endless. Hell you can even add a bit of animation to it that way.

So does that mean I have to make mine smaller? I think gold members should be allowed to have their way

Uhhhhhhh....

I stand corrected. This option is excellent. With a couple more changes maybe I'll consider paying again.

Guests still get signatures because they (can) convey some reasonably good information. I do think you can convey it in the space allowed and without being obnoxious. Those with custom avatars are former members. They can keep it but not change it. That's probably not an issue for some but when you choose to change your avatar then you will need to be a member or accept one of the stock ones we provide.

Remember, large sigs may still be visible if I choose to make the scrollable but I can't say for sure until I see what it will look like with all of the those scrollbars on the page. if it looks to busy then I'll probably clip them to size. I don't think one's signature should be larger than their message. If it is then the signature IS the message and that makes it SPAM (you are not allowed to cross-post to more than 3 forums nor intentionally make duplicate posts). The new comprehensive encyclopedia of posting rules will clearly indicate this.

Signatures taller than 90 pixels or wider than 600 pixels or both are not permitted. This is part of a rules "clarification" in the works.

Long overdue IMO.
