With our car in its fourth model year, and with ownership turnover becoming of greater interest to our members, I think it might be useful to collect info on selling prices of used S2000s. I'm envisioning a place on the site -- maybe a forum, library feature, even just a sticky-thread -- where users would post the FINAL selling price of their car, along with some relevant info like date sold, model year, mileage, condition, mods, private sale or trade-in, geographic location, etc.

Ideally, this feature could be database-style so that statistics could be produced (e.g. avg. sale price for '00s in California from Jun '02 to Jan. '03). However, I think even a series of simple sticky-threads could be useful; I'd envision that a given thread would request sale info for ONLY a given six-month period, say.

Note: This would NOT be a "for sale" advertising feature; the info requested would be strictly limited to COMPLETED sales of used cars, with the understanding that the information is for reference purposes only.

ok i sell my car for 30k cause it has 5k worth of mods

The buyer puts in a sc then he sells it for 35k... or i crash mine and have it fixed and sell it for 25k...

really don't think it's anyone's business how much i get for my car when i sell it..
