Mocky, thanks for the heads up.
The site isn't moved into IB's network yet, so I'm honestly not sure what we can achieve, but I am going to have our tech team take a look at things shortly.
Can you share with me, which browser you're using, what type of connection you have, and which operating system you're experiencing the site slowness on, that may help us to narrow things down a bit.

FWIW it does this about every 2 weeks or so, slows to a crawl usually ending with the site going down for a few hours & then it is back to full speed again.
I have a cable connection @ home & @ work & use Firefox 8.0

I know what the problem is but I'm not able to fix it without turning off something everyone likes so I decided it was better to live with it and fix it when it slows down than disable a much loved feature that is the cause of the problem and would be sure to piss most people off; kind of a lesser of two evils thing until a proper fix comes downstream that will correct the problem.
