Yes, it is a known problem. But topics like this really don't belong in "S2000 Talk" forum, they belong in the "Site Info" forum, and there is already a thread there about the slowness:

Hey, since all the mods are on this thread, I have a friendly suggestion.
Since all our members (and visitors) are experiencing difficulties, why not communicate to the community that you are aware of it. The only way I found this was because WhiteS2K linked it in another page.
Nobody has come over here (relativley), and like me probably never come to this part of the site.
How about each of your mods post up in their respective forum. Put it in "S2000 Talk", "For Sale", "UTH"......the more commonly visited areas. The perception so far is negative, due mostly to lack of communication with your members. A simple sticky could fix that.
