I was just going through old bookmarks of mine and found a dude's trip report here on S2kI. Somewhere in there a brilliant person recommended having a sticky with links to all the trip reports that people post. It might be interesting to have a sub-forum in the Special Interest collection for "S2000 Road Trips", or some such. It could be for trip reports, trip planning, and suggested trips. I know the Oregon crew have quite a few existing that could be copied / moved / linked to such an area.

I'm sure there are more on the forum but haven't come across them.

Anyway, might be fun to have a place where all the S2kI members can leave a log of their travels and see others' travels, and come up with new ideas of where to go and how to get there.

 

Maybe these "trips" could be user rated as well. For example an aggressive run with lots of "twisties" could be labeled 'spirited' and another that is more scenic or liesurely could be labeled 'cruise' or something of the like.

 

On that note, our former CO assembled a collection of suggested drives with those kinds of numbers included.

We use that kind of rating system on our group drives. I don't know that it makes a big difference on who attends, but the data is there for who wants it.
