Presently I'm working on the Gallery as my main/only focus. I've spent the past 5 days sanitizing and reconstructing some 700,000 images including building all the various sized copies of those images necessary for the gallery to function. I sifted out a bunch of corrupted, empty, missing, mislabeled items and cleaned some things like MS word documents which shouldn't have been there in the first place.

All of the images have been rebuilt and it's in good shape there. I'm now working on cleaning up and making sense of the some 35,000 albums those images are attached to and the permissions of those albums.

The new gallery is a lot different from the old gallery so the transition hasn't been very smooth. The gallery will remain offline for another day or two until I can get all of the albums reconstructed.

Erik, thanks for all of your hard work in getting the site upgraded. I know these things are never easy and never, ever go as planned.

Any idea on how I can get the drop-down menu by my screen name to display for more than 0.25 seconds? I'd like to be able to read the menu and make a selection from it.

 

Mine stays there until I click on something else. I'm using firefox on a mac.

 

Click your name to open it, click somewhere else to close it.

 

VMom have about 684,400 of those images?

I'm supposed to be getting a patch today to fix many of the problems. I'm not sure the updates will correct them all. We shall see once I get the patches applied and can go through it again.

 

Will that fix older posts in active threads? Images posted prior to the upgrade are no longer viewable.

 

I apologize if this has been asked already, there's been so many threads and discussions I lost track.

It looks like signatures were truncated. Are they going to come back or should we start reconstructing them
now that the new environment is basically stable? What about badges? Both the "official" ones and the
ones that were made up by other s2ki'ers that I had linked in my signature?

Is the information from the notepad in the old MyS2K page still retrievable? I had a bunch of data regarding maintenance in there that I'd love to retrieve if possible.
