Thread Edits?

Thread Edits?
Why is it that some can edit a thread and the post is not tagged as being edited?
Here is an example. The poster removed every single one of his posts and changed them to "SOLD!"

However, when I change a single letter in any post it is always tagged as such.

When you go into edit one of your posts, do you see an "Edit Options" checkbox below it? It should say "Add the 'Edit by' line in this post?" and you should be able to uncheck it.
I don't recall this being an option when I was a guest and it might not be an option for sponsors either, but IDK.

The permissions for some users are different.
Members can use the tick box
Guests Can't
I guess Vendors can't either - unless that is something to do with the way the user permissions are set, or deliberate I am not sure

Vendors don't have the ability to remove the "edited by" tag. This is due to previous issues where things were changed to support an altered version of events.
Members can edit their threads and have the option whether or not they want the "edited by" tag to show up or not.
It's deliberate and not an oversight.
